Experts-at-taste.eu has been developed within and fully-funded by the European Interreg IVA 2 Seas cluster project TASTE 2 SEAS.
The INTERREG IVA 2 Seas Programme co-finances cross-border projects along the Channel and North Sea regions of England, Flanders, France and the Netherlands.
Experts-at-taste.eu is the new digital platform where information can be found on various organisations, institutions and companies working on "organoleptic" evaluation. Organoleptic tests investigate how aspects of food affect the sensory perceptions such as flavour, aroma and texture.
The platform includes commercial and non-commercial initiatives.
The platform will be open to SMEs and larger companies in the food industry as well as research institutes and other organisations.
Delivering tasty, high quality products is the core objective of companies in the food industry. An important part of this is understanding the sensory properties of products and on how these relate to consumer preferences. This is where organoleptic evaluation fits in. The new platform aims is to provide advice and information to businesses and other organizations on all aspects of organoleptic and nutritional research.
